Now, in case you haven’t heard of this amazing DIY, it is basically just color coding your keys with nail polish. I know, awesome right? Oh so simple but boy does it save you time from fidgeting with your keys. So here are some of my Mad tips on how you can make this DIY more creative and effective.

Mad tip:
Put a base. Painting the key with white nail polish first will make the colours you use pop so much more and saves you from finishing up your favourite colours on the keys instead of your nails. *Make sure not to make your base too thick or else they won’t dry well and will end up looking gloppy.

Mad Tip:
Use nail polish with texture. This will allow you to use your sense of touch when differentiating your keys in the dark. I used Zoya PixieDust here. You can also use nail caviar. Or create fun patterns with the textured nail polish. It creates more variety when you only have one textured nail polish to work with.

Mad Tip:
Tape it up. Use tape to create geometric patterns or cut up the tape with decortive edged scissors to make more patterns.
